Alpine Texas - Murphy Street Raspa
The town of Alpine is the largest of the three west Texas towns just north of the Big Bend. The three towns, Alpine, Marfa, and Fort Davis are located in a perfect triangle each town 25 miles from the other two. Marfa is the more famous, of course, but Alpine has Sul Ross University, a great museum, nice restaurants, and a book store / rock shop where we always find books and or rocks. Murphy Street Raspa is located right across the railroad tracks from 'downtown'. What is a raspa? It is a snowcone, but better. They also serve ice cream if you prefer.
