January 2014 - it was 28 degrees when we left Dallas, but south of the Equator it was summer. Later on the Amazon River the temperatures were in the 90s. We stayed for two nights in the Miraflores district of Lima. Looking down the cliff at the Pacific Ocean simply begged to be turned into a wide shot.
