This was a beautiful day, but later that evening, in the dark, we went out in our little skiff looking for caiman (like small alligators) we had gone several miles past the Ayapua when we were caught in a real rainforest deluge. As we roared past the Ayapua on our way back to our 'mother ship' we could barely make out the lights through the downpour. More than a year later, my socks are still wet.
